A Christmas Story Commentary

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Let us be the first to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! On this experimental Episode, hosts Casey Kelderman and Brian Mensing give their full thoughts on the holiday classic, A Christmas Story. The Schmuck Club gives commentary to the 1983 Bob Clark classic. Grab a glass of Ovaltine, turn on your favorite leg lamp, and join us as we watch A Christmas Story.

The Box Office

Frozen II dominates the box office in it’s second weekend with $85.9 million. This brings the film’s domestic gross to $288 million. Knives Out opens with an impressive $26.7 million holiday weekend. Coming in third is the Christian Bale/Matt Damon lead Ford v Ferrari with $13 million. Queen and Slim opens fourth with $11.8 million. The film is followed closely behind by A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood with $11.7 million.

What’s Next?

Next week we will be joined by Andy Heller from Fat Dude Digs Flick, and Charlie Eccles of Midwest All Pro Wrestling. With a budding online feud, we hope to contain these two titans on the mic as we determine the greatest Dwayne Johnson film.

Casey Kelderman found a love for film at a very early age. One of his earliest memories of watching movies was the original Star Wars trilogy on VHS. Casey graduated from The University of Sioux Falls in 2017. At USF Casey produced weekly movie reviews and hosted a radio show. He graduated with a degree in Media Studies. Skills he learned in college have allowed him to help create Back Lot 605. He has produced and directed 4 short films. His favorite films include Halloween, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Die Hard.
