Anatomy of a Murder is a 1959 courtroom drama directed by Otto Preminger and stars James Stewart, Lee Remick, Ben Gazzara, and George C. Scott. Paul Biegler (Stewart) defends a war veteran in a murder trial after the lieutenant murders a man, whom his wife accused of rape. Progressive and groundbreaking at the time of release, Anatomy of a Murder is consider by many practicing lawyers to be one of the most accurate courtroom dramas of all time.
The Box Office
Topping this weekend’s box office is the Chris Rock lead Spiral: From the Book of Saw with $8.73 million. Wrath of Man takes in $3.74 million in the number two spot. At number three is Those Who Wish Me Dead with $2.8 million. Demon Slayer the Movie comes in at four with $1.85 million. Lastly, Raya and the Last Dragon rounds out the top five with $1.72 million.

The cast for the upcoming sequel to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out is beginning to take shape. Dave Bautista, Ed Norton, Janelle Monae, and Kathryn Hahn have joined the returning Daniel Craig for the upcoming Netflix film.
