The Box Office
Wonder Woman 1984 tops the weekend box office for the third straight week with $3 million. Our week continues last week’s trend with The Croods sequel taking the second position with $1.81 million. News of the World comes in at the number three spot with $1.24 million. At number four is Monster Hunter with $1.1 million. Rounding out our top five is Fatale with just under $700,000.
The News
This week’s news is quite fitting for this months podcast series. Paramount announces they have picked up the rights to the film version of Monty Python’s hit Broadway musical Spamalot. The musical is an adaptation of Python’s Holy Grail feature film, adapted by Python member Eric Idle. Idle will pen the screenplay, with Casey Nicholaw set to direct.
