This week we are joined by local filmmaker Dominic Wieneke from Warwolf Productions. Dominic is a lifelong horror fan and joins us to discuss our favorite horror films from the last decade!

The Box Office

Captain Marvel reigns supreme once again pulling in nearly $70 million in the films second week out. New releases Wonder Park and Five Feet Apart take the number 2 and 3 spot. Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral sticks in the top five once again.

The News

Disney takes over the news once again. The studio dropped the third trailer for the upcoming Aladdin live-action remake. We get a better look at Will Smith’s Genie. Avengers: Endgame drops a retrospective trailer and gives us a first look at Captain Marvel’s interactions with the team. James Gunn has been reinstated as the director for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

Modern Horror: The Main Topic

Our main discussion delves into modern day horror. We begin with the first film from horror juggernaut Blumhouse, Paranormal Activity. Some of our favorites of the decade include Insidious, Cabin in the Woods, The Conjuring, and Get Out. What are some of your favorites of the last decade? Let us know in the comments!
