Dracula (1979) – Dracula Series

Hey, who said Dracula was all about blood and guts, why not throw in a little love? On this week’s podcast we are joined by filmmaker and lifelong horror fan Ansel Faraj (Loon Lake, Will & Liz) to discuss the often forget Dracula adaptation from 1979 starring Frank Langella! Often known as the ”romantic” Dracula adaptation we dive into the film and the history of the Universal Monster remakes.

Much like previous Dracula adaptations, the film follows Count Dracula as he travels to England from Transylvania in search of new blood. There, the Count falls for the engaged Lucy Seward and in his quest for love blood is shed in that of Mina Van Helsing. You guys know the rest, Van Helsing vs Dracula. Dracula is defeated. The end.
