Interview with “Untitled Horror Movie” Director Nick Simon

Untitled Horror Movie is a 2021 comedy horror film by co-writer and director Nick Simon. Simon is a native of Sioux Falls, SD now residing in the bright lights of Los Angeles, CA. His latest feature, shot entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic is about a millennial TV show cast who after hearing that their show is on the verge of cancelation decides to shoot a found footage movie inside their own homes. What the cast doesn’t realize is that they can’t act their way out of a supernatural threat. The film stars Luke Baines, Claire Holt, Katherine McNamara, Kal Penn, and Aisha Tyler.

We are joined by Nick Simon on this podcast to discuss what went into the making of Untitled Horror Movie, including what it was like shooting during a global pandemic. We also discuss his influences from his mentor Wes Craven, the meta-aspect of Untitled Horror Movie, and his upcoming work on Alexandre Aja’s new film for Amblin.

Untitled Horror Movie is available to rent or purchase on VOD.
