It’s A Wonderful Life – James Stewart Series

Who says we can’t celebrate Christmas in May! Hello everyone and welcome to the Back Lot 605 Podcast, the “premier South Dakota Movie Podcast”. We kick off a brand new series here in the month of May as we begin a dive into the career of acclaimed silver screen actor, James Stewart! We begin this month’s series discussing Stewart’s holiday classic from director Frank Capra, It’s A Wonderful Life. We are joined by guest John Small, whom you might remember requested this episode way back in December on his episode on Mank.

It’s A Wonderful Life stars James Stewart as ultimate everyman George Bailey, who after a series of events finds himself wanting to cash in on his life insurance policy in order to provide for his family. When his guardian angel Clarence is sent to earth to save him, Bailey finds out that he truly has a wonderful life. The film co-stars Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, and Henry Travers.
