We are joined this week by Megan Snow from the Aberdeen Pride organization in Aberdeen, SD to discuss the 2018 teen, romantic comedy Love, Simon. We discuss this year’s festival programming, the importance of Love, Simon as a modern teen movie, and the breakdown of each character and their arcs.

Love, Simon is a 2018 teen, romantic comedy directed by Greg Berlanti and stars Nick Robinson as a high school senior Simon who lives a normal, happy teen life except he has one secret…he’s gay. As Simon struggles to find a way to come out to his friends and family, he finds solace in a mystery love interest named Blue whom he begins to exchange emails with under a secret name. When he is threatened to be ousted by a social outcast, he must find a way to navigate his friendship, secret relationship, and struggles of high school. Love, Simon co-stars Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, Katherine Langford, Alexandra Shipp, and Logan Miller.
