Signs – M. Night Shyamalan Series

Signs, signs, everywhere signs. In week two of our M. Night Shyamalan series we see the signs to discuss his 2002 film Signs starring Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix! We are joined on this episode by ScreenDrafts host Clay Keller to discuss the legacy of the film, the weekly box office and movie news.

After the death of his wife, former reverend Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) and brother Merrill (Joaquin Phoenix) father two young children as mysterious crop circles invade their corn field. When it is revealed that an alien invasion is occurring the family must find their faith in each other and find solace in loss. Signs is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The Box Office

Toping the box office is The Suicide Squad with $26.5 million. Dropping to number two is Jungle Cruise with $15.69 million. Old comes in at number three with $4.14 million. At number four with $4 million is Black Widow. Rounding us out is Stillwater with $2.86 million.
