Sleepaway Camp Spotlight

We continue our May Summer Camp mini-series with one of the most anticipated episodes of the Back Lot 605 Podcast, Sleepaway Camp. We are joined for this episode by Andy Heller, the resident “Fat Dude” of Fat Dude Digs Flicks. As we venture down the rabbit hole that is Sleepaway Camp we do want to give a full SPOILER WARNING for the film. If you have not seen the film we do go into full spoilers on this summer camp slasher. So sit back, roast some s’mores, and join us for our Sleepaway Camp spotlight!

Sleepaway Camp is a 1983 slasher film written and directed by first time director Robert Hiltzik. Pre-teen Angela (Felissa Rose) is about the spend her first summer at camp alongside her foulmouthed cousin Ricky (Jonathan Tiersten). Angela is soon outed as the camp “weirdo” and picked on by almost all the campers including Judy (Karen Fields). When bodies of campers and staff start piling up at the camp, everyone begins to wonder if their is a killer loose at the summer camp. But who could it be?!
