Thanksgiving Movies

Happy Thanksgiving! On Episode 55 we discuss our favorite Thanksgiving movies, as well as some of our holiday traditions. With very few movies to select from, what are some of your favorite Thanksgiving movies? Let us know!

The Box Office

Frozen 2 tops this weekends box office with a $127 million opening weekend. Ford v Ferrari takes the number two spot with a $16 million 2nd weekend. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood comes in at number three with $13.5 million.

The News

Todd Phillips (Joker, The Hangover) is rumored to be in talks to direct a Joker sequel as well as another DC origin movie. No word as to the direction for the sequel, or the character of the other origin movie. The Batman adds John Turturro as mob boss Carmine Falcone.

Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) is attached to direct a Universal Monsters film based on a pitch from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead). The film would focus on Dracula henchman Renfield. Lastly, James Wan is rumored to be helming either a Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein film for Universal.

Finally we discuss the first trailer for the upcoming, Antebellum.

Casey Kelderman found a love for film at a very early age. One of his earliest memories of watching movies was the original Star Wars trilogy on VHS. Casey graduated from The University of Sioux Falls in 2017. At USF Casey produced weekly movie reviews and hosted a radio show. He graduated with a degree in Media Studies. Skills he learned in college have allowed him to help create Back Lot 605. He has produced and directed 4 short films. His favorite films include Halloween, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Die Hard.
