The Mess That Is The Terminator Timeline

We’re back. In honor of the upcoming release of Terminator: Dark Fate, we take a look at the mess that is the Terminator timeline. We explore every Terminator film from the James Cameron original, to the 2015 mess Genisys. On the 51st Episode we also take at the biggest news from the week and the box office results.

The Box Office

After coming in at number two last weekend, Joker returns to the number one spot with $18.9 million. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil takes the number two spot with $18.5 million in it’s second weekend out. New release Countdown takes the number five spot with a $8.8 million opening.

The News

Bond 25, No Time to Die has wrapped principle photography. In casting news, Cardi B has joined the cast of the Vin Diesel lead Fast and Furious 9. Her role has yet to be disclosed. The first trailer for Diesel’s next film, Bloodshot has been released.

Netflix is looking to release an update including a 1.5 times speed in which users can view their content. The update has received mixed reviews from industry professionals and users. In other trailer news, the first look at the Scott Cooper directed horror film, Antlers.

In Disney news, the company has announced that a sequel to the cult classic Hocus Pocus is in the works. The original film was released in 1993 to mixed reviews, but has since grown a hardcore fanbase. The sequel will likely be released exclusively to Disney+.

A debate and discussion that has gone on for decades now, how does the timeline of the Terminator franchise connect? Furthermore, this is a question that may never have an answer, nor may the timeline ever make sense. On this episode we look at said timeline, explain some of our theories, and why the series is one of the best time travel series of all time.
