The News

In a rather light week for movie news, the first piece of film news we discuss is the casting of Jason Momoa as a new type of Aquaman. Warner Bros. has tapped the former Game of Thrones star to take on the role of the lovable Frosty the Snowman. The film is said to be live action, with no other casting news as of now.

Nickelodeon is in the works on a new CG animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. The studio is teaming with Point Grey Pictures Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on the project. Jeff Rowe of Gravity Falls fame will direct the picture. No word yet on casting for the film.

Lastly, we discuss this week’s new titles featured in the Back Lot 605 Coming Soon article available at backlot605.com. The featured titles for this week include The Old Guard (Netflix), Greyhound (Apple), Palm Springs (Hulu), and The Beach House (Shudder).
