The Sixth Sense – M. Night Shyamalan Series

I see dead podcasts. Welcome to Back Lot 605, the ”Premier South Dakota Movie Podcast” as we embark on our final episode in our M. Night Shyamalan Series! This week we bring it back to where it all began (or at least to the third film in Night’s filmography). This week we are joined by fellow South Dakota movie super fan Darren Hines to discuss 1999’s The Sixth Sense! We also take a look at this weekend’s surprise box office returns and the latest movie news.

The Sixth Sense stars Bruce Willis as a child psychologist who looks to help a young boy Cole (Haley Joel Osment) deal with his childhood troubles, including the ability to see dead people. The wayward souls find solace in one another and learn to overcome the challenges life has thrown their way. The film co-stars Toni Collette and is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The Box Office

Free Guy is still the top guy this weekend with $18.79 million. At number two is Paw Patrol: The Movie with $13 million. Jungle Cruise takes the number three spot with $6.23 million. Don’t Breathe 2 drops to number four with $5.05 million. Lastly, Respect takes the five spot with $3.81 million.

The News

After breaking new ground in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Mackie will return as Captain America for a fourth film for Marvel Studios.
