Tombstone – Kurt Russell Series

I’ll be your huckleberry. Welcome listeners to the first episode of our Kurt Russell series for the month of November. We kick off Russell month with his “directorial debut” in 1993’s Tombstone (we get into that on the podcast). The film co-stars Bill Paxton, Sam Elliott, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe, and Charlton Heston.

Tombstone follows the Earp brothers, Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan, as the venture to the township of Tombstone for a new beginning in the wild west. Well the stumble across old friend Doc Holliday, the clan vow to not get involved with local law enforcement. When a group of outlaw cowboys cause havoc in the township, the Earp boys alongside Holliday take the law into their own hands.


The Box Office

In a surprising weekend at the box office, the new horror film Come Play comes in at number one with $3.15 million. Honest Thief takes the number two spot with $1.35 million. At number three is The War With Grandpa with $1.08 million. Tenet comes in at number four with $885,000. Lastly, The Empty Man rounds out the top five with $561,000.

The News

An icon of Hollywood has passed away at the age of 90. Sean Connery perhaps best known for his role as James Bond, Connery crafted a legacy that covered decades in the industry. With iconic roles in Goldfinger, The Last Crusade, and The Rock, a true legend of the industry.

Patrick Wilson is set to make his directorial debut as he returns to the Insidious franchise. Wilson, who appeared in the first two films, will reprise his role as Josh Lambert and step into the directing chair.
